Cranberry Fruit Nut Bread
Ingredients
- 1 cup cranberries
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (pecans)
- 1 T grated orange peel
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1.5 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 2 T shortening
- 3/4 cup ornage juice
- 1 egg well beaten
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350.
- In a bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and baking soda.
- Cut in shortening.
- Stir in juice, egg and orange peels.
- Mix until just moist.
- Fold in cranberries and nuts.
- Bake 60 min.
makes 1 loaf
