Ingredients

• 1 1/8 cups all-purpose flour
• 1/2 tsp baking soda
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
• 1 egg
• 3/8 cup sugar
• 3/8 cup brown sugar
• 1 cup chocolate chips
• 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

1. Heat oven to 375.
2. In medium bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt.
3. In a largemixing bowl, beat butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla until creamy
4. Add egg, then add flour mixture gradually
5. Stir in choc. chips (and nuts if desired)
6. Bake 9-11 minutes, or until golden brown.
