Lemon sauce for gingerbread cake
Lemon sauce
- 1/4 cup butter.
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp grated lemon rind
- 1 ½ Tbsp lemon juice
Cream softened butter and sugar in double-boiler.
Stir in egg. Place over boiling water. Beat until
smooth and glossy. Remove from heat.
Mix in lemon rind and lemon juice.
