Breeding Bird Survey routes are surveyed once each year, in June (generally), by very competent birders. This list presents the species that were seen along the selected route. Please note that not all species found in the region are seen on BBS routes. Nocturnal species such as owls, and rare species are often not encountered on the routes. So, this list is not an exhaustive summary of bird species in the area.
